Unlike a number of other overseas year round training venues this region of Tuscany provides a perfect combination of a relaxed flying environment in stunningly beautiful countryside with quite challenging flying conditions.  This provides the best possible training for pilots who want to be equipped to deal with whatever flying conditions they may experience in their future ballooning career. 

With the very latest Lindstrand balloons and equipment available as well as great local accommodation and easy flights from the UK and most European cities, the Lindstrand Balloon School can arrange either a bespoke service or a complete training package, right from a first flight through to the acquisition of a UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Private Pilots Licence (PPL B).

The full training package includes: 

bullet At least 16 hours of training flights, including 4 Instructor flights, in one of our low hour Lindstand balloons

 

bullet Full ground school tuition for the 5 written exams

 

bullet 4x4 retrieve/tow vehicle & trailer

 

bullet Assistance with both medical, landowner relations and licence certification

 

bullet Airline flights and accommodation arranged in advance
