The Lindstrand HS110 is a new development in Hot Air Airship technology. It is built by the team that first pioneered pressurised airships in 1981 and continued to produce over 100 airships flying worldwide.

Hot Air Airships are probably the safest aircraft available. In the unlikely event of engine failure, the airship reverts to a hot air balloon and is flown and landed in the same way.

An Airship is a fantastic flying billboard in that it has a surface area of about 1,500 sq.ft. The envelope can carry artwork directly on the hull or by the use of banners that can be removed or replaced in less than one hour.

Airships consist of two major components, the envelope and the gondola.
The gondola is a composite design utilising glass fibre, tubular stainless steel framework and aluminium floor skins. It features side-by-side seating and most of the controls are between the two seats making flying instruction straightforward.

A Rotax 64hp engine is supplied together with a 5hp separate pressuring engine, which drives a multi-wing fan blade and is supported by a modified version of the Lindstrand Double JetStream burner system with hydraulic control front and aft.

The envelope requires no maintenance at all except the usual annual/100 hour inspection.

The engine is the only time limited inspection item on the ship and must be changed every 800 hours. All other items are 'on condition'.
